Apples in Šlafor
Perhaps the most appropriate name for a weekend breakfast, these are apples in dressing gowns (šlafor or šlafrok being adaptations of the German word, schlafrock). It was a happy weekend indeed when my mother made these as a special treat. They would also work very well as a dessert with ice cream, but for me these are the perfect thing to eat on a weekend morning, still wearing your pyjamas and dressing gown.
