In my dreams, I own a bakery that looks like a Nancy Meyers movie set: marble countertops, an espresso machine singing and good music and community all around. And each month, I serve a different cake. This one would be for June: A celebration of summer’s blueberries. The vanilla cake is rich, moist yet wildly light, and studded with fresh blueberries. The remainder of the berries are simmered into a compote and mixed into the buttercream, resulting in a stunning layer cake that’s perfect for a cozy summer treat.
